Path

Eyes on the Horizon

Movie stars and celebrities aren’t usually go-to’s for life wisdom or perspective. However, I can appreciate what Will Smith said about responding to his biggest failure.

I completely released the concept of goal orientation and got into path orientation. This moment, this second, these people, this interaction.

Taking life one step at a time is easier said than done, but it’s powerful – especially accompanied with a healthy balance of confidence.

I no longer measure the quality of myself on whether somebody else thinks what I painted was beautiful.

It’s also possible to use this mindset to be lazy or come up with disingenuous work. Careful: to succeed in freedom, you have to be internally motivated.

Stay focused.
