Standing behind the canvas wall with the bridal party, I held my breath as the opening strains of music cued the first groomsman and bridesmaid. I kept glancing at my best friend, Jill, perfectly elegant in her lace sheath gown as she shared hushed words with her dad. Every 8 seconds, another couple advanced to take their places, and the only hiccough was a cute confusion between the three flower boys (all holding the one basket), who inspired a ripple of laughter as I escorted them to the beginning of the aisle and sent them down it on their own.
